Loneliness

November 2008: Loneliness
Returning to my roots. Ten years ago in art class I started drawing these bold nudes, depicting specific emotions, and my teacher kinda didn’t like it - mostly because I couldn’t explain where it was coming from. I hadn’t realized my passion for acting then, but today I can see the connection. And I love it.

I use some of my artwork as a screensaver, because it motivates me to get back to my tablet - but it’s always the picture I titled “Noir” that makes me want to draw the most. And I finally revisited that idea.

I didn’t really want to give it a title, allowing the viewer to interpret it in any way they like, but I wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t be seen as something sexual. Maybe I’ll remove the title eventually.
