ACTING: First the big fat news: I got a new role! Nothing major, again, but I applied yesterday and today I got the call that I got it! I don’t even need to audition or anything! What I did differently for this application is that I recorded a little greeting and sent it as a short mp3 to give them a better understanding for who I am. It worked!!!

I’ll be meeting them tomorrow and we’ll shoot next Wednesday if I understood everything correctly.

JOB: Just a couple of hours ago I went to see my Boss and told him I was leaving the company before the end of the year. He was very sorry, not only because of my good work, but also because he likes me as a person. I think I’ve mentioned before that I thought I was his favourite employee.

But instead of quitting completely I offered that I could come in just once a week, random idea I had this morning, to work on the intranet for example - something that noone else in the department can do - and he actually liked that idea and will fight for the budget to do that - cause he will of course have to also employ someone to take my place at the switchboard as well. And he would give me other responsibilities that would put my organisational and technical understanding to good use.

And this has NOTHING to do with that other possibility I mentioned yesterday! Still awaiting those news.
